Been to the Batu Caves for the nth time but it's my first time - in the past 23 years we've been here in Malaysia - to actually climb it, as what they say "DO IT FOR THE VLOG". And since hubby is starting out as a vlogger, I accompanied him way up to the top and inside the temple cave. Was it all worth climbing for? Check out the video.

Gorgeous Maya's Birthday 2019
The Gang |
It was indeed a fun night to remember as our friend Gorgeous Maya celebrated her birthday with close friends and loved ones at the Cedar on 15 of Impiana KLCC Hotel.
Music was provided by Harmony & Rhythm Band. Crazy fun was provided by the young ones and the young-once-upon-a-time - just figure out which group I'd fit in. LOL! Watch the video below.

The Crazy Fambam Together Again |
That's why when we knew that she didn't have any engagements or school activity for this last week of October, we booked her tickets right away. Aside from endless video chats and Apple Watch chats that we do every single day, get-together as a family is very important for us. And this is how we keep our family close and tight despite the distance.
However, because it's peak season for airline ticketing in the Philippines as we celebrate Nov 1st and 2nd as All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day respectively and most schools have their semestral break at this time, the tickets were quite pricey and the cheapest one we could get was a red-eye flight that leaves 11PM from Manila. And we booked it anyway without missing a beat.

Power Couple Joins KCK Fun Run 2018
THE FUN RUNNERSJoshua, Brandon, James, Jasmine, Edlyn, Imelda, Marl, and Myself |
At around 5:30AM, we were picked up by Brandon, a staff at Terry's company Pembinaan Tetap Teguh (PTT), and brought us to the venue in Klang where the fun run would take place. When we arrived there, there were already lots of people in red shirts, some in blue. However, since the three of us (Marl, Edlyn, and myself) are just joiners or what we call "saling pusa", we didn't have spare t-shirts from the fun run. But we didn't come empty handed because we also wore red shirts so we won't feel "different" at all. LOL!
The 8KM runners started 15 minutes ahead of us 4KM runners. But the funny thing that happened during the 4KM kick off was people started running as the host just started the countdown. I was confused to run as well, but I remember what they said, "if you can't beat them, just join them", so I ran but quickly realized that I have lost my friends among the red shirt runners. But glad to have caught up with them right away.
Before the fun run, I have already visualized what would happen and knowing myself with a crazy bunch of friends, I was right. What I'm talking about is all the bloopers and crazy antics that would come up eventually. Watch the video below to know what happened... and enjoy! 😊
We would like to thank Teo Swee Phin and Kuya Terry Teo for inviting us to be a part of the fun event. Also, I would like to congratulate Dato Paul Lim of Premiumlogy for a successful fun run event!
Celebrating Ramadan & Hari Raya at DARC Malaysia
We all know that Ramadan season is the very highlight in Islam tradition. I have not experienced Ramadan in other countries except in Malaysia and this is what I have observed here. During this month-long fasting time, most restaurants and shopping malls are usually quiet or 'dead' at daytime and would only be swarmed before dinnertime for their "buka puasa" or breaking fast.
And one of the places in Malaysia that does it is owned by our family friends in Denai Alam in Shah Alam, called Denai Alam Recreation and Riding Club or DARC. The club is only open in the morning for riding classes then all the staff prepare for their Ramadan Buka Puasa buffet, which is always full every single day.
The booths at DARC's buffet is a mix of local favourites, from dates (which they eat first to offiicially break the fast), starters, hot and cold dishes, lamb steak, rendang, curry, burgers, local desserts and ice cream, and lots of choices for beverages. And the best part is, you can all have this at a very affordable price person for RM 33 (member) and RM 40 (non-member).
They usually do this every year. But their club is open all year round for its members and they also welcome non-members to enjoy their amenities and activities. Check them out on Facebook: DARC Horse Malaysia or DARC Denai Alam.
Anyway, here are the promotional videos that I did for them.

Surprising Friends in Kuala Lumpur
We love surprises... and doing surprises. But believe me when I say that in this day and time, surprises become rare as it's more easy to find out about someone or something with just a few clicks and tap on your phone, be it on social media or chatting app.
So after 3 months in Sri Lanka, we needed to exit the country to somewhere where we can standby should we need to go back to Colombo again. Instead of going back to Manila and avoid the hassle of leaving our beloved country again, we chose to go to Kuala Lumpur without our friends knowing about our secret trip. Well except for our godmom Nanay Susana who always let us stay in her house.
So in this video, you will see the fun we had surprising all our friends. Haha! Enjoy!

Why I love prepaid Umobile SIM card!
Finally got our new Umobile simcards for our old numbers coz we misplaced it during our holiday. The perks of having your prepaid number registered under your name/passport! The reason why we are sticking with Umobile is its monthly FREE 1GB high speed internet (look at the comparison chart). We all live with a modern technology right now. Let's use it wisely. 👍🏼

FULL VIDEO: Celebrating the Presidency of President Duterte in Malaysia
Indeed an honor for me to host the Victory Party for Philippines President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, organized by Melody United in collaboration with the Embassy of the Philippines Kuala Lumpur, held at Hard Rock Cafe Kuala Lumpur on August 14, 2016.
It was a successful event, well-attended by our supportive kababayans, different associations and organization like Malaysian Filipino Club (MALFIL) and Philippine Ladies of Kuala Lumpur (PLKL), and other notable local VIPs.
Just like other events, it started fashionably late and I took on the stage with my script (of course) as the Emcee/Host of the event. First part was kinda dragging, as guests commented, with lengthy VTRs/video clips of his speeches and promotional videos but it was helpful for the guests to know more about President Duterte. Speeches followed then the entertainment began as Melody United's recording artist Kris Patt, who is actually from Davao City, took on the stage with her song performances. Although he almost missed the event, President Adviser for Peace Process in the Philippines, Secretary Jesus "Jess" Dureza, finished off the event with a very inspiring speech.
The event was fun overall. It was an honor and privilege for me to be a part of it, especially that it was done for our beloved President Duterte. Super thanks for the organizers of the event.

Saturday, June 25 - Manila to Kuala Lumpur

Marl and I just dropped our bags and headed out to meet our friend, Malaysian fashion & billboard photographer Jay Ismail. We just hung out in his studio for a couple of hours and made a quick shoot. After that, we met up with our friend Reen who took us to the venue where we'd be rehearsing at 10PM. But when we got there, we were told that our rehearsal was rescheduled. So we just made a short visit to Shangri-La Hotel KL and see the newly renovated pub, now called Arthur's Bar & Grill. Azrul, the assistant manager, was kind enough to have made us stay for a round of food and drinks. We were feeling the exhaustion but we made it a point to cross the street to Concorde Hotel to visit Crossroads. Saw some of our old friends and the bands playing there, Power J and Breakthru. We just said hi and headed back to the condo.
Sunday, June 26 - The BIG Day
Woke up at 9AM, had breakfast, and prepared for the big event of the day. I actually had my stuff packed as I don't have any intentions of going back to the condo after the show. So with my pink trolley bag and my backpack, we went to the venue for soundcheck at around 11AM. Luckily for me, there's a hair salon on the ground floor of the building where the event would be taking place. I had my hair set to curl while I did my own makeup.
Event started at around 2PM. The performers were all from our agency, Seagulls Promotions. As for me, I performed as a solo artist. I didn't have a white top or a groovy blazer for my MJ spot but one of the girls from the Soundstream band had a perfect blazer which completed my outfit (salamat kaayo day!). There was a raffle draw and I did my Michael Jackson medley (Black or White-Beat It-Billie Jean) and Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" for my first set. As for my second set, I changed into a shiny tube dress and sang one of my favorites "Take A Bow" by Rihanna and a danceable tune by Shakira "Loca". Performing for the Filipino crowd has been one of the most fun performance because they can relate very well. They were dancing and singing along. The other bands, Peach Apple Tree, Soundstream, Main Avenue, and Power J., gave their best to wow the crowd, too. The invited DJs from the Philippines also did a tremendous job in providing the music in between performances. The raffle draw by DiGi made everyone excited... I didn't win but it's okay. The whole event was so successful and was well-supported by the Filipino community. I even saw some familiar faces in the crowd. Some of our friend were there including my former co-singer Marthy. It was such an overwhelming expeience and if I'd be asked to do it again, I'd gladly oblige because it's always a great honor and privilege to be invited by the Philippine Embassy to perform. Salamat po! And to Ate Cherie, our lady boss, thanks again for the opportunity!
After the show, Marl and I had a quick mee goreng at a mamak stall in Central Market with our friends Melinda and Reen. Afterwards, we went to Bangsar Village to meet our 'adopted' parents Mama Siah and Papa Jamal. It was great to see them especially Mama Siah who just went for a surgery to remove her cancerous lump. They sent us to LCCT airport at 10PM for our Cebu Pacific midnight flight. =)
Monday, June 27 - Back in Manila
As of this writing, I haven't unpacked from the trip yet. I have managed to uncomfortably sleep on the flight. I will make a quick nap after blogging this before facing a couple of hectic days in Manila before flying out to Beijing on Wednesday.
PERFORMANCE PHOTOS AND VIDEOS COMING SOON!!!!!!!

Sarita Carreon for MYBatik's Special Raya issue |
Remember in June when I had a photoshoot for a magazine which wasn't really the best experience yet something that we all have learned from? Well, it's finally out - yay for that! But it only came out when I already went back to the Philippines - boo on that. I would have appreciated an SMS or anything to let me know that the magazine is already out but no one from the magazine informed me. If it weren't for my friend Reen, whom I have asked favor from to check the major bookstores every now and then, I wouldn't have known that it's already out. (Love ya, Reen!)
Anyway, bygones.
MYBatik, priced at RM18, is a quarterly published magazine that talks about the different issues, lifestyle, and fashion related to the batik arts and/or batik cloths and clothings. And I'm fortunate enough that my photos for the fashion spread of the said magazine are on its 11 pages (+1 for inside back cover - not included here) for its special Raya issue, the 11th issue for the months of August, September, and October. The photo on the right is the cover where it has Yang Terama Mulia Tunku Syed Razman on it. You can go buy them at famous bookstores in KL like MPH. And if you have spare pocket money, I'd appreciate a copy (since I'm not there to buy 20 magazines LOL!). And you can also visit their website.
Kudos to MYBatik magazine for the outstanding photos and of course to my friend, Reen, who have toured the different MPH bookstores even before this issue was published and for capturing the pages through her digital camera and sending the photos to me via email.
Here are the photos from the said magazine (click to appreciate) :)

Are taxi drivers in Malaysia really the worst in the world?
What was supposed to be an exciting day for the band turned really ugly after getting in on an old yellow taxi (not the airport limo taxi) with a Malaysian Chinese driver here in Kuala Lumpur.
We all went down infront of the photo studio including the driver because we wanted to ask him why he would CHEAT like that. But he wasn't consistent with his alibis. He said that we were caught in the jam that's why our meter reached RM24.50. Marthy, Marl, and I disagreed in unison and said we all saw RM10.50 on his meter. How on earth would he come up with RM24.50?
Even though the driver was already yelling at us with arms provoking for a physical fight and trying to explain that we have to pay what the meter says, Marl still talked in his most diplomatic manner and said, "We are not tourists here in Malaysia lah. We've been here for 7 years and you cannot fool us like this. We came here to 'cari makan' (Malaysian slang for 'work'). So you cannot say that we don't know anything about the meter charges because deep inside you, you know that you have cheated us. Why like that?". Then the driver said, "You want you call police to check my meter" - but his meter was already turned off! So Marl said, "Okay, call the police? Call lah!". The driver took his phone and pretended to talk in the phone in Malay to ask the one on the other end of the line to come at our location. Funny thing he forgot to say in his "act" was the exact location and that maybe he thinks I don't know anything about gadgets - his bluetooth headset wasn't blinking at all. What a great pretender! He thought we would be budged by his antic that he's calling his police friend to check on the meter. HAH! Sucks to be him!
So since he wanted an 'act', I gave him an 'act'. I took my phone and 'dialled' Shangri-La Hotel to 'complain'. I took the taxi's plate number and described the taxi and said that the taxi driver was yelling at us. Of course, I wasn't talking to anyone on the phone! But that really got him and maybe he realized he dealt with the wrong guys. HAH!
The driver continued yelling at Marl and so Marl also yelled at him. I was already in between them and I was even thinking of what to do should the driver give Marl a punch. Things were really heating up. The owner of the photo studio stepped out to ask what'e going on. The driver with his red face said that we didn't want to pay him RM24.50 which was the meter charge. He even ushered the photographer to his taxi to show the proof but POOF! He forgot that he turned his meter off and that it was only a 'made up' charge. Hahaha!

The plate number of the taxi |
We already reported this matter to the Shangri-La Hotel so that their guests will be protected. Small things like that can make a big change. My local friends are actually aware of this problem and sad to say, they're worried about how this really affects the tourism in their country. They have worked so hard for their country only to be destroyed by these taxi drivers harassing their passengers.
Maybe in due time, the Malaysian government can prove the whole world wrong that Malaysian taxis are the worst in the world?
Stung by Aedes mosquitoes
Last weekend, Marl had couple of photo shoots with two clients/friends. And being the other half of his team, I did my work as a makeup artist, lighting assistant, and creative director. Saturday shoot with Lara at the Lake Garden went on smoothly. The Sunday shoot at the Titiwangsa Park with my former co-singer, Arlyn aka Christy, was fun, too. But there was only a hassle for someone who loves to wear shorts like me - a lot of mosquitoes!
So as I was assisting the shoot, I kept on slapping my legs and even managed to be the murderer-in-charge of 5 poor mosquitoes. I even remarked that the mosquitoes look so "foreign" as they have white streaks all over. Anyway, the shoot went on and a day has already passed. Yes, a day has passed before I noticed the mosquito bites again because they became unbearably itchy that I couldn't sleep properly.
I became suspicious so I googled "black and white mosquito". To my horror, they turned out to be the dengue-carrier Aedes mosquitoes!!! OMG!!!!!! I remember reading about this kind of mosquito but I honestly didn't know how they look like. And... DENGUE?!!! Oh wow, I thought I was already dying! LOL. But luckily, I didn't get any hint of having a fever at all - thank God! With my further research, I found out that these mosquitoes are also called "Asian tiger mosquitoes" and if the mosquito bites get itchy, it's far from being infected with dengue. I don't know if that's true but yeah, that should be enough to make my heartbeat and blood pressure go back to normal again. :)
So anyway, this is a warning to all my friends out there - always bring a mosquito repellent when you go outdoors. It's better to be safe than to be sorry. Take care y'all!

Photoshoot for myBATIK magazine
When I got a call from the people of myBATIK magazine and was offered to do a photoshoot as the main model for their magazine's next issue, I was ecstatic. It was around the same time that I did my first photoshoot for HerWorld magazine. myBATIK magazine is a quarterly magazine that features anything that has to do with batik - batik designed clothes, batik fabrics, batik designers, etc. So the day that I've been looking forward to finally came and yes, it was today.
Since I needed to be in the location at 7:15am, my friend Reen picked us up from the hotel at 6:45AM. But when we got in the location, I was told that the crew was still on their way. So, Marl, Reen and I decided to have something from the nearest mamak stall. Then we went to the location - Taman Tun Park. What we didn't know was we went to the different parking lot - the one up in the hill with the jogging track. The rest of the crew were in the main parking lot, way down the hill.
So leaving Marl in the jungle upon his request (which he trailed for 2 hours before we got a "distress call" from him for being lost LOL), Reen and I went back to the car and met up with the crew at already around 8AM. I started my makeup right then and there at the parking lot. What I didn't know was it took 2 hours for look that I could have done in 30 minutes. But Kudos to the makeup artist that they provided, named Agnes, she was able to make me look like I had enough sleep, even though I only slept for 2 hours. Marl, on the other hand, was finally rescued my Reen and Melfay from being lost in the jungle for 2 hours and they arrived in the main parking lot just in time.
We started the photoshoot at around 10AM. As Marl was not the official photographer, James Wong, the assigned photographer took some interesting shots of me in batik fabrics draped over my body. Unfortunately, Marl was asked not to take photos while James was working which was kinda strange for us. Marl is my husband and he ALWAYS is asked to take photos of me whenever I work with other photographers. But it was alright, we just politely obliged to his request.
At one point and I think on my 4th change, I was asked to climb in the middle of the raging falls that was one of the sights in the park - much to my friends' and Marl's disapproval. They were so worried about my safety as the big rocks are expectedly slippery. Kittie, the fashion consultant and my assistant, was skeptical for me to do the waterfalls scene. But much to the photographer's insistence and even providing me his socks so I wouldn't slip on the slippery rocks that has algae growth, I was able to go in the middle of the falls. We took a few shots of me standing on a dry rock that wasn't touched by the waters while the photographer was in the base. In fairness to the photographer, the shots turned out fantastic. And after that, Marl and Reen helped me out by lending me a hand to hold on to.
We had a lunch break not long after that so Reen, Melfay, Marl, and I went to our secret lunch destination - away from the TTDI park. Yes, secret because none of the crew knows where we had it LOL. We all went back to the park after lunch and continued shooting. The whole photoshoot basically had me draped with 10 different batik fabrics which were really nice. Towards the end of the shoot, I was asked to wear 3 gorgeous batik dresses.
I can't say I had as much fun as I did with the rest of my past photoshoots since this was the first time that I had a full-day shoot out in the scorching heat of the noontime sun without any place to actually rest on (aside from the step ladder that the photographer brought and a few shades under the trees), but I definitely have learned something from the experience. I can actually say that I was able to walk in the slippery rocks of a waterfall, stepped on a huge anthill, lie on the hot pavement, go through the scary jungle part, stand on top of a picnic table, pose effortlessly under the noontime sun - all for art's sake.
I can't wait to see the images in myBATIK magazine. I hope that it gets released for the 3rd quarter (July/August/September) issue - while I'm still here in KL. Kudos to my husband Marl, who is ever supportive, and to my friends Reen and Melfay, who accompanied us and who worried much for my safety. They never left me even though they didn't have any proper place to rest in while waiting for my shoot to finish... and even accompanied me in my "rewarding time" afterwards - ice cream moment! :) Love you guys!

Landscape of Emotions - A Manny Librodo Workshop in Kuala Lumpur
FLASHBACK
I was very fortunate enough that my husband Marl attended Manny Librodo's workshop in Cebu. He wasn't supposed to go as he wasn't sure if we'd still be in Cebu during that 3rd week of January. But seems like the gravitational force of the universe really wanted him to attend the workshop, as of all the ones in the waiting list, he was the one who was called by the organizer when they knew that one slot was left open by another participant who backed out during the last minute. Marl was meant to be part of the workshop for sure. Before Marl left for the workshop that day, I told him to tell Manny that I would love to meet him personally. And I was so thankful that he did because Manny, who's been my contact in a modeling site, asked me to join them for dinner after their 1-day workshop. Boy, was I glad even though I was sick at that time. I was able to meet all the top photographers in Cebu who participated in the said workshop, and was fortunate enough to meet the very beautiful Kharunisia "Kharu" Jazmin and of course, the world renowned Filipino photographer, Mr. Manuel "Manny" Librodo.
A DREAM COME TRUE
Having known Manny Librodo's work for years now and having him regarded as one of Marl's inspiration in his photography, I have turned myself into a stalking fan of Librodo who would always check out his Pbase gallery and his Facebook page for his recently posted works. And there was this question in my mind, "When can I be photographed by this talented person?". And not long after that, we got a message from him few months ago that he would be having a workshop in KL. I was so excited and even suggested Marl to attend the workshop again. But it just got better. Manny asked me if I'd be willing to be one of the models for the workshop along with the Thai model cum actress Krystal Vee as the main model. And I said, "WHAAAAAAT?!?!?!?! OMG! That's insane!!! OMG! I'd definitely do it. OMG! I must do it. In this lifetime!!!". LOL.
I mean, who wouldn't want to pose for Manny Librodo? He's like the Filipino king of portraiture in ambient lighting! He's like... he's like... a dream photographer whom most models would want to shoot with. OH MY GAWWWWD! I kept staring at his message on our Facebook wall for hours in disbelief - most of my Twitter followers know that. LOL. And he asked for Marl's assistance to be his VA aka "reflectorer" which Marl was so glad to do because he'd be part of the photo session, too, and having some chance to steal some shots. :)
THE WORKSHOP
I've been looking forward to that day and was wishing nothing but for me to not fall sick when he came to KL for the workshop on June 5th. And my wish was granted as I was in my most top shape when I arrived in the workshop - except for the nasty mosquito bite under my eye right before the shoot.
There were 15 participants, a makeup artist, Manny's assistant Marl, Krystal Vee, a local model named Sofea and myself. The workshop was organized by Dr. Ban Hup Teh. They provided a costume for me which perfectly fit the Chinese Opera theme complete with the headdress. I was my own makeup artist so I matched my makeup with the costume. The photos came out outstanding!

Marl, on the other hand, did a great job on being the VA or the 'reflectorer'. He had his chance to take some stolen shots, too. Clever guy. :) But towards the end of the workshop when I wasn't busy anymore, I replaced him as the 'reflectorer' for him to take better shots of Krystal's last set in sexy costume.
After the workshop, Dr. Teh, Krystal, Manny, Marl, and I enjoyed a delicious lunch at a Thai restaurant near Concorde Hotel Shah Alam, where they stayed during the weekend. It was great to get to know them well. They also went to the Pub to watch our show. We're soooo humbled. :)

FUN INDEED
I really had fun throughout the workshop. It was a great experience and the participants were fun to work with. Dr. Teh, the organizer, was so helpful in most ways and made sure that I got everything that I needed. Sofea, the local model, was so sweet. The beautiful Krystal was unbelievably easy-going and down-to-earth. Manny, of course, is THE man. :)

That Night in Genting
When we knew that we didn't have any appointment or photoshoot on the last Sunday of May, we decided to spend time in Genting. It's also the only chance for mini-me to go back there since she'd be leaving for Manila soon for her school opening next week.
TO GENTING
TO GENTING
We woke up at 11AM and hurriedly took our light breakfast since we wanted to catch the noontime bus to Genting. But when we arrived at KL Sentral, all tickets were sold out and the next trip would at 3:30PM, which would be too late for us. So we just took the taxi at RM70 which would take us all the up to First World Hotel in Genting - no need to ride the cable car, weeee! :)
We arrived at First World Hotel at almost 2PM but the lobby was swarmed with people of different races with their suitcases and bags. As we didn't book ahead for a room, we got disappointed when we saw big lit sign that's saying 'FULL'. So we tried calling our sister band Peach Apple Band to ask them whereelse we can stay but nobody answered - so we understood that they're still sleeping. While waiting for a sign from them, we decided to stroll around first. Mini-me didn't want to go outdoors since she's already been there a few times before. So we just stayed indoors and enjoyed the indoor theme park, while Marl took his own way to take some interesting photos.

It was walking distance down the hill from the First World Hotel. And when we reached the building and went in the lift, there was already a sense of creepiness. We were taken to the 14th floor where a management office is located. Since the RM80 units were all occupied, I was asked to pay RM150 for the ONLY available unit and another RM50 for the deposit.
And so the guy handed me the key... with a room number on the keychain that said 13414. WHAT?!?!? We're staying on the 13th floor of a haunted building?!! Did we have a choice aside from going back to KL instead?! Sadly, no.
THE NIGHTMARE
So we went to our assigned unit which was actually nice for RM150. It has 2 bedrooms, 2 toilet/bathrooms, living room, dining room and a kitchen. I thought, "hmmm, nice!", just trying to forget the fact where our unit is situated. A spacious unit... just for the three of us. We all actually stayed in the spacious master's bedroom where there's a king-size bed. There's another single bed by the window but I insisted mini-me to stay with us in the king-size bed. There's no way I'm letting her out of my grasp and sight!
The room was already cold even though there was no air condition at all. The cold wind gets in the partly opened window of the room which makes the dusty curtains move. The bathroom door in our room, which can't be locked from outside, makes creepy noises from the wind, too. And there we were, trying to get even just a little nap before having our dinner and soon, we fell asleep.
It wasn't long enough until I heard Marl's snoring which is actually a sign that I can go and sleep - yeah. it works that way for us. LOL. And soon enough, I was having my own dream away from Genting... until I heard a crying scream, "ahhhhh!" - it was Marl having a nightmare. I reached out and woke him up and he continued his sleep again. As for me, I couldn't go back to sleep anymore so I just played with my iPhone until it was time for us to really 'wake up' at 8:30PM - just in time for dinner back at the First World Hotel. I asked Marl what his dream was secretly since I didn't want Selena to hear about all these spooky stories. He said, he dreamt that he was being pulled until he almost got choked. He said it was scary and felt so real. Of course, it was just a nightmare... or maybe not.
I was so eager to get out of the place and got in the lift going down. Marl pressed the Ground Floor button. The lift is undeniably slow which makes it more creepy. The doors of the lift opened and we stepped out only to realize it was not the Ground floor yet. There were 2 suspicious guys sitting on the floor across the lift and I felt really scared because Marl was obviously carrying his camera and I don't know what those guys were waiting for. I couldn't wait for the lift anymore and took the stairs going one floor down. Boy was I thankful when I saw the exit door! My next concern would be going back to the apartment later in the night... *oh no*

Since it would be tiring to trek up back to the First World Hotel, we took a private taxi instead. Private taxis only ask RM2 per person because it's just less than 5 minute trip up the hill - how convenient! We met up with our friend Chona of the Peach Apple Tree Band at Starbucks. Since they'd start performing at the Patio Bar at 9:30PM and mini-me can't go in, they just gave us directions and recommendations for dinner and chill-out places like internet cafe and arcade games. We had an enjoyable dinner at the Pizza Factory and beside there, there's a cybercafe where Marl spent his time while mini-me and I played some games in the arcade.
It was already midnight when we went back to The Patio bar and Peach Apple Tree band was on their break before their 2 other sets. Most of the rides were already closed and so were the shops. Marl had an idea of taking photos outside the already-closed shops. The photos looked interesting which will be posted in this blog soon. :)
When our friends finished performing, we all went back to the Ria Apartments together with some of the Filipino staff from the casino. Apparently, they also rented out a place for us to have a little get-together party for the night. Had we known about it earlier, we wouldn't have gotten that room on the 13th floor. Plus, the unit that they rented is a lot smaller than our unit. So we had supper and didn't go back to our 13th floor unit anymore. Mini-me and I slept in the master's bedroom, while our friends sang and talked nonstop with Marl in the living room - 'til the morning!

At around 6AM, Marl woke me up to say that one of the Filipino guys came running back to the unit because he saw a woman floating in the corridor on the 5th floor. OMG. I only have short naps after hearing that story. And I was so thankful when I saw the sun seeping through the thick curtains... ahhhh, Monday morning!
PHOTOSHOOT
PHOTOSHOOT
One of the reasons why we went to Genting was because some of our friends Gaily, Khring-Khring, and Joy want their photos taken by Marl, just for some test shots. Of course, Marl asked me to join and guide them so I also prepped myself up even though I didn't bring my makeup kit with me. I also borrowed a top from Chona and just sported a more casual look with my loose jeans and sneakers.
We didn't go far to have photoshoot, we just went around the Ria Apartment and to the 'Cradle Rock' to find some spots. I guided them on how to pose since the concept is more like "On the streets of Genting".

We had fun since the Filipino guys from the casino were so funny and making a lot of side comments in every pose that my friends did. The last part of the shoot was the jumping shots which resulted into awesome images. Watch out for this space for the update when the photos are already posted by Marl. :)
BACK TO REALITY
BACK TO REALITY
We took the noontime bus back to KL and back to reality since it's gonna be another working week for us. Although we had mixed feelings about that night in Genting, Selena enjoyed her time because she didn't know anything about it. Best to keep it from her.
One thing is for sure... we won't ever forget that night in Genting.
