Sarita Carreon for Del Monte Pineapple Tidbits TVC 2015

It's been airing on Philippine TV for a year now. In fact, it started airing around September to October 2015 after I left Manila. And I have never seen a clear copy of it until someone sent me this on the eve of my Forever 25th birthday! And what a perfect timing because I also received good news from my modeling agent Bon that this TV commercial is up for an extension! Wooohooo!

I had fun memories during the shoot. My co-talents were Angelson Rieta (daddy), Francine Diaz (girl), and the wonder boy, Nhikzy Calma. My 'kids' in this project have their own acting careers. You will see the wonder boy Nhikzy on ABS-CBN's Sunday variety show ASAP, strutting and doing a showdown with other famous celebrities. It was directed by the great tandem of Nick and Mike, and the assistant director was Direk Jules Dacanay.

I saw the RIOT logo on top and searched Youtube and found the channel riotvfx01 posted this. Must have come from them.

Anyway, here's the 30-second TV commercial for Del Monte Pineapple Tidbits:

Sarita performs at the Best Choice Awards 2015

It was a great pleasure to have performed at the Best Choice Awards 2015 held at the Crown Plaza Galleria. I had a 30-minute performance at the said prestigious awards. And here's a video of my intro song "Fever", posted by BCA Chairman Jojo Lemque, courtesy of Wazzup Pilipinas.

Sarita Carreon for Tide "Gorgeous" (I Will Survive) TVC

When I went to the casting for the role of a pretty mom who can sing and dance for a detergent powder project, I had a tinge of trusting feeling that I was so close to making it. I was right, they called me couple weeks after to the final casting with 2 other singing moms for the role. We were taught a choreography for the song "I Will Survive" which I must admit that I did enjoy. Those who didn't make it to try for the lead role were asked to be my backup dancers. And after couple of days of fervent prayers, I got a text message from my manager that I finally made it!

I was in Iloilo for a photoshoot for the international Filipino fashion designer Rocky Gathercole when I was called in for the final rehearsal before the first shooting date. I had to fly back to Manila first flight on a Sunday morning. This was not the first time it happened that I flew back to Manila on a first flight from Iloilo. It also happened more than a year ago when I did the Blend 45 Coffee TVC and they had me flown back to Manila on my birthday.

So anyway, we had our first day of shoot for the Tide TVC at the former KB Studio along Marcos Hi-Way going to Antipolo City. Call time was noon time and I only had to do the first part of the TVC, where I was wearing a beige blouse, capri jeans, and almost no makeup. This was the "melodramatic" part of the TVC where I was asked to act angry and disappointed... over the detergent brand that I was using. Shoot was done by 8PM. I had to go back home right away to get a few hours of sleep because the call time for the 2nd shooting day was at 5AM - and it was a whole day shoot of the dancing with the "dancing housewives". It was a fun shoot with an awesome production headed by Direk Jason Tan and Assistant Director Melvin Lee - whom I have worked with for my Ceelin and Vonage TVCs earlier this year. Too bad I only had limited time bonding with the fun "dancing housewives" headed by Movement Studio proprietress/choreographer Lala since the director always needs me. Overall, it was an awesome experience. Plus the fact that I am the lead in it. :)

Here's the Tide TVC with project name "Gorgeous" where I was singing and dancing to the tune of Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive". Click HERE to view on Youtube.

Sarita Carreon for Vonage Pinoy Care TVC

Here's the Vonage TV commercial that is currently airing in the US and Canada right now. I think it's aired over The Filipino Channel (TFC) and GMAtv, as most of my friends and relatives on the other side of the world have already seen it.

I had a great and fun time shooting this TVC because most of the people behind this were those I have worked with. The caster was Mercator, whom I have worked with for Royco TVC. The assistant director was Direk Melvin, who have assisted the shoot of my Celine TVC. And the director was the same great director who directed by Biogesic TVC. Plus, the client and the production people were so easy to work with. So even though this is the first TVC that I have done with speaking lines, it was such a breeze that we finished after 6 hours of shoot.

This is the second international TVC that I have done after my Indonesian TVC for Royco. Although it's a Filipino TVC, it's not shown here in the Philippines. But thanks to the internet, the world has really become smaller! Please enjoy watching this and feel free to share it with your friends and relatives. CHEERS!

Sarita Carreon for Lancaster Estates ads

Here is the recent AVP that I did for Lancaster Estates New City in Cavite. You can also see our printads on billboards, print materials, tarpaulins, lamp post flags, and bus wraps! This will also be shown on cinema ads. =)

Sarita Carreon in UFC Spaghetti Sauce TVC

Here's the very cute UFC Spaghetti Sauce TV commercial where I played the very sweet and loving mom to my birthday boy. Sweet Filipino-style spaghetti is the best!

Watch it on Youtube!

Sarita Carreon for the New Biogesic TVC with John Lloyd Cruz

Photo grabbed from Biogesic Facebook Page

Blessings just keep pouring. And no, I'm not complaining. =) I am sooo grateful and thankful for all these countless blessings that have been coming our way. Meeting wonderful people along the way, working with the patient makeup artists, stylists, and hair stylists, gaining great experiences from my co-talents and directors, and much more. That's why I really am enjoying myself with these projects!

My recent TV commercial is the new Biogesic Tri-media ad with John Lloyd where I played the pregnant mom with a fever. I had so much fun with the shoot as the people behind the scenes were all funny. And also, this is the first time that I got to work with a famous Filipino celebrity, one of the hottest leading men in the Philippine industry today, and my TV-crush... John Lloyd Cruz. Too bad, I wasn't able to take a solo photo with him. But I really admire his work ethics as he came to the shoot prepared.

There will be different versions of this TVC. Below is the 30-second version. I know there will also be a version focused on me as the pregnant mom, maybe one of the 15-second versions. This will also be in print ads, bus wraps, and billboard ads... as stated in my contract. Anyway, here's the new Biogesic TV commercial or watch it on Youtube.

Sarita Carreon for Ceelin Vitamins TVC 2013 - Kundiman

What a great beginning of the year of the snake! I am so thankful for all these blessings that I have been receiving. Projects are lined up one after another. I can't explain how overwhelmed and thankful I really am. This is the recent project that I did before Valentine's Day. It's for the famous vitamins for kids, Ceelin vitamins by Unilab, which has been my daughter's vitamins since she was a toddler.

There were 5 pairs of moms and kids in this touching commercial that pays tribute to the loving and caring moms and is also a testimony of a mother's love to her child. There were different settings for every pair - and our pair was called "Quiapo". Our setting was in the busy streets of Manila, particularly infront of the Manila Post Office in Lawton. We were actually crossing the road with real vehicles passing by on the street. It was quite an experience doing that under the scorching heat of the noon sun. But we had fun doing it as the whole production and team were fun to work with. It was directed by Dragon Pineda.

My reel daughter in this commercial is the very adorable Carla Ann Dela Cruz, who's soooo sweet and so much prettier in person. We became close when we were shooting this TVC that she invited me and my family to attend her 7th birthday party fews days after the shoot.

Here's the 90-second DIRECTOR'S CUT of the TV commercial with the adaptation of the Kundiman song of Lucio San Pedro "Sa Ugoy Ng Duyan". There's a 45 second and 30 second versions that are currently airing on local television in the Philippines, however they didn't include me on the latter version. I don't know if they have a different version of the 30-seconder that has my spot, but that would be great if there is one! =)

Celebrity Chef Billy Kalangi and Sarita Carreon for Royco Indonesia TVC 2012

Here's the recent commercial that I have done that has been airing in Indonesia for the past 3 weeks already. Thanks to Indonesian celebrity Chef Billy Kalangi and to his manager Rizky for providing me the link! I grabbed the video from them! =)

Apparently, there are Filipino and Vietnamese versions of this commercial a year ago which were made for Knorr. But in Indonesia, it's called Royco. Anyway, here's the project that I had soooo much fun doing! The bonding session with the rest of the casts and the kids were so memorable! =)

Sarita Carreon in Zonrox Color Safe TVC

Projects here, gigs there. Events here, invitations there. I'm lovin' my life now! Anyway, here's a new TV commercial, Zonrox Color Safe with Oxygen Bleach, which I did in July. This is the 30 second version, there's a 15 second version that's currently airing on Philippine TV now. Yes, I'm the mom with the funny face at the end. Enjoy! =)

Sarita Carreon in Quaker Oats TV commercial 2012

Finally got an HD copy of the Quaker Oats TC commercial that I did a few months ago. Apparently, I worked with the same production just recently for a different commercial that is yet to be announced. Since it can't be found on Youtube, I asked for a clear soft copy of the said commercial. Of course, it made me really happy! I appreciated the commercial more now than the one I posted earlier taken by my friend Chona using her iPad. =) Anyway, here's the commercial that I had so much fun doing.

I suggest you to watch it on Youtube to appreciate it more! :)

The Main Event with Rocky Gathercole

I am sooo excited to be a part of a big fashion photography event featuring 6 models and of course, the creation of the internationally acclaimed fashion designer, Rocky Gathercole. It is a charity event, which means the money that will be gathered for the event will be for a cause. Participants will be able to shoot Nix Bennett, Paloma Esmeria, Isabel Granada, Sabrina Murphy and myself in different outfits. Makeup will be done by Barbara Bennett. So if you're a photo enthusiast or into fashion photography or simply love shooting photographic faces and sexy bodies, now is the chance for you to expand your portfolio. :) Contact my friend Gelo Bautista at 09205225665 to be a part of the Main Event at Fernbrooks Alabang on August 5, 2012.

Me, Rocky Gathercole, Mar Silverio & Gelo Bautista
WHO IS ROCKY GATHERCOLE?
When I first heard about this world-class international fashion designer, I thought that he's an American, a European, any nationality but a Filipino. Who wouldn't? Gathercole is not a usual Filipino last name. But when I researched about him and added him on Facebook, I was in total shock that he is actually a pure Filipino. In fact, he was born in Pasay City and has lived humbly in Manila before he went to seek a greener pasture in the fashion capital of Middle East. Dubai is where saw his dreams of being an international fashion designer come to life. Over the years of hard work and going through needle holes, Rocky was able to make a name for himself. And since then, his avant garde fashion creation has not only graced the big runways of Middle East and Asia, but has also made a mark in Miami and most recently has graced the Big Apple that is New York City. But despite of all these big successes and making a household name in the fashion industry worldwide, Rocky has stayed grounded and never changed a hair. This trait is what makes him loved by his dearest friends and family. Those who have widely discriminated him are nowhere but already hiding their tails in their own little corner. Nothing is stopping this Filipino pride, Rocky Gathercole! Go Rocky!

My Quaker Oats TVC!

Been really busy with stuff. My gigs are great and the projects that I do are even greater. Here's the recent commercial I did which started airing on nationwide television on the 1st of June. Since it's just a promo ad, it will only air for 3 months. I had lots of fun doing this...

QUAKER OATS TVC | Project: WTW

Love the Facebook Timeline?

Do you like the Facebook Timeline? I'm still having a difficulty in choosing which stuff to read between left and right posts. But I guess that's why it's called TIMELINE - you just follow the "line" in the middle that divides the left & right posts and has a "period" indicator to see which post was posted first.

The only thing I love about it is the cover. Hubby made a nice cover for our Facebook. Lovin' how to it is related to our profile thumbnail which looks like he's pointing his camera to me. Because that's what we are... The Photog and The Muse. :)

Through The Lens of Jay Ismail

I first met Jay Ismail online through one of the modeling sites I usually frequent to where one can be connected to different creative people in the fashion, photography, and modeling industry. His sophisticated approach that goes into intricate details made me fall with his photography. Then 2010 came, and finally, we had a chance to work together. And I was able to finally meet and know more about this talented photographer from Malaysia. It was really fun working with him. And we've been very good friends since then.

When we had a quick trip to KL last June, he's one of the few people we had met up. Of course, we met up in his studio where Marl asked him thousand-and-one questions about shooting billboard (in preparation for Marl's billboard shoot with Ara Mina). This guy shoots billboards for some known brands like Ed Hardy. And of course, we had a very quick shoot again. I just love shooting with him because I KNOW that he'll do a great job with it. :)

Yesterday, he tweeted me at around 3-4AM and sent a BBM to Marl, too. He said that he woke up in a middle of a good sleep because he dreamed of something weird... that he was visiting a zoo with Marl, Selena, and me. The weirdest part of that was... he was speaking Tagalog fluently. Hahaha! So he wasn't able to go back to sleep and played with some of my old photos in his archive. And damn!!! They turned out really great and really portfolio-worthy! I totally love his work!!! Thank you, bro!

Visit his website at www.jayismail.com to view some of his great shots. But, tell me, what do you think about these shots? Leave a comment below or tweet me! :)

11.11.11

Woahhh! Time flies so fast indeed! I remember that I just had my birthday then suddenly now it's almost mid-November. If we don't get extended here, that means we only have six weeks left here in Beijing. My oh my!

Well, I haven't been blogging for quite some time, breaking my own promise to blog everyday about anything. But you see, I've been very very busy. Since I got my Baby Nikki D., I've always been buried with my tutorial books and videos. I somehow have learned a lot on video editing already, but I still need to learn a lot more. I know I have backlogged on lots of our adventures, but I want the current video that I'm editing right now to have the right 'treatment'. My next video is distinctively different with last video that I posted - which was actually just a test shoot for my Nikon D7000 during the China Opens 2011

But of course, even if I haven't been blogging, my daily adventures continue on Twitter. I guess, that's a good excuse to not blog so often... "I'm tweeting anyway". :)

Anyway, here are my recent photos posted by Marl on his Facebook page for his 365 Project. So if you want to get updated with his posted photos of other people, too,  better go and 'Like' Mar Silverio's page. But it's okay if you don't. You can always continue viewing them here on my blog. Be my guest! :)

Happy November!

Block Eye Peace :)
Today, I'd like to share with you a photo that hubby and I did last night after gig. Since he has loads of studio (and outdoor) lighting equipment, he's experimenting on different lighting setup almost everyday. And he's so lucky that he has a model-at-hand whenever he wants to shoot.

Share photos on twitter with Twitpic
All for art's sake :)
What's special about this shoot is that after retouching my gig makeup to make it finer for the shoot, I realized that since hubby wants me to do this pose, I would need to paint my 2 nails with a dark color. But I don't have any dark colored nail polish as I'm not really a manicure-and-pedicure kinda kikay girl. I only have some light colored nail polishes and nail coats.

But I needed to paint them dark.

So what I did was I took a black marker pen and marked my 2 nails with it. It sure looked unattractive and blah so I put some glittery nail coat over it. Voila! Instant black nails! :)

Share photos on twitter with TwitpicBut the problem came the next day after. I couldn't get it off since I don't have nail polish remover or acetone. So I resorted to painting the rest of my nails with a black marker but I couldn't find where I put it last night! LOL. So I had to endure performing tonight with only 2 painted nails! LOLLLLL!

All for art's sake, huh? :)

Colours by Badeedadee
It's been half a year that I didn't have a shoot and I certainly missed having shoots with creative and talented photographers. Hubby Badeedadee has recently edited my photo from a shoot that we did in November 2010, just before we left for Beijing. Well, at least, something new to add to my porfolio! :)
Click on the photo to see the whole album on Facebook. Thankssss! :)
