Sarita Carreon at World Class Philippines Awards Night (Full Performance)
Last May 27, 2017, I was utterly fortunate and humbled to receive an award of recognition from the World Class Philippines Awards 2017, held at the Ascott Hotel in BGC Manila. No words can express how thankful I am for this great recognition as a World Class Filipino in Performing Arts (Singing and TV Commercial Modeling). Thank you WCP!
And here is my full performance on that very special evening!
URB Band's New Year's Eve Show 2016 at Shang KL *updated*
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
This is officially my first blog post for the year 2016 and I'm so excited with that's in store for me this year. A lot of big things are coming and I just can't wait to share it to all of you soon! So far, we are doing great here at the Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur and yes, we are extended here until October 2016. Yeyyy!
Anyway, I'd like to share with you the countdown show that we did during the recent New Year's Eve Party. I know it's wayyy long overdue but I just would like to share with you the highlights of URB Band's New Year's Eve show at the Lobby Lounge of Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. I super duper enjoyed doing my diva act, doing quick costume changes, and performing songs by Shakira, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, J.Lo, etc. I hope you'll enjoy watching it and see the real me... and do watch out for the Part 2! HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Sarita Carreon with Arpie & The Multivitamins Band
It's funny how nobody ever captured my nightly gigs at different venues, yet I have a handful of videos of me jamming with other bands and musicians - in my hard disk. I couldn't help but share with you this video taken last Thurday at Spicy Fingers when my favorite hilarious band Arpie and The Multivitamins asked me to jam with them. I had a good laugh watching the video esp. when they were trying to imitate me! I had no idea! Kulit nila RJ (guy wearing orange), Icee (girl wearing light blue) & Arpie (guy wearing blue) sa likod! KALOKAHHHH! Hahaha!
POSSESSED - The Conclusion (a Noytube video collab)
I love doing video collaboration projects with my friends, especially with my fellow Noytubers! Noytube is actually a community of Filipino channels on Youtube... piNOY-youTUBE = NOYTUBE... gets??? If not, click on this link and just let the video load in the background while you continue reading my blog. :)
I'm so excited to share this recent video collab of the founder of Noytube, Jason Telmo a.k.a. chinaeyes22. Jason and I started a great friendship online through Youtube. This talented director, producer, and video editor is actually making his passion his living... he works at ABS-CBN's media department and he does the promo plugs of the network. And he's one of the persons that I'd really meet up whenever I go back to the Philippines... he's my idol-bestfriend, hence we call each other "idolbes".
Jason likes to keep the Noytube community active, hence he would do video collab projects that includes characters from different parts of the world. And this recent video collab project called "POSSESSED" is just one fun series to look forward to.
When he did the pilot episode for this series, he also asked some of us if we can do our bit and act really silly like being possessed by his character, chinaeyes22. Of course I said "yes" and fully committed myself to it. And then... he sent our different "possessed" parts. And I was like... WOOAHHH-KAYYYY... DAMMIT! Hahaha! But knowing Jason' funny touch and great abilities in video editing, I gave him my full trust. Just like the rest of the Noytubers he had asked favor from. And boy, I had soooo much fun doing my crazy bit! =)
So without much further ado, here's the the video that I'm talking about. And I would really recommend you to watch the whole of it. But if you're getting bored and wanna see my 'possessed' bit, jump to frame 3:28 until 3:36. No one has ever made me to act like this on camera... only my idolbes, Jason. So now, you can witness the silly, possessed side of Sarita. Laugh if you must. LOL!
Sarita goes to... Summer Palace
Here's the video that I've taken my sweet time in editing of using Final Cut Pro. I've been reading quite a lot on DSLR videography and I know that I still have a loooooot of things to learn about it and the whole Final Cut Studio. And I must say, I'm proud that I was able to come up with this output. Here's a travelogue video of my trip to Summer Palace here in Bejing. Please do watch it in HD (720p) and let me know by your comments and suggestions! :) ENJOY!
Guess who's back into video editing again?

I am not new to video editing. I've always been fascinated with taking videos since I got my first camcorder in 1998. I started to go semi-pro by learning a little video editing and accepting some work - just for fun - like video transfers (from camcorders to computer), minimal video editing, and burning the finished products in VCDs in 2001 - I even design the disc labels. Some bands even asked me to take their videos and give them their finished products in VCDs. At that time, I was only using Ulead, Sony Vegas and Windows Media Maker (there's another software I can't remember) at that time but I was able to create decent semi-pro videos.
But like other hobbies, my love for videography would come and go like seasons. I switched to Mac in 2007 and went back to video editing after learning Final Cut Pro. I use iMovie for simple video projects. But in 2008, I got into internet marketing which required me to do professional promotional videos about the products and services that I was doing. They were all uploaded on Youtube, but all videos got blocked or reported as "scam". So my interest died down since then from disappointment and I got discouraged. From then on, I'd just do simple video uploads - until recently.
The passion is coming back again. I have so many ideas in my mind that I wanted to do but I don't have tools to do so. I only have my trusty small Lumix digital camera that can take HD videos. I don't want to have a video camcorder, I wanted to buy an SLR instead that takes HD videos as well. But I have to save up for it this year. Priorities, priorities. As of now, I'm contented with my Lumix digicam.
