Busy and lovin' life! =)

I've been soooo busy for the past few days. I've been backing up files to make room for video editing. I have taken almost 20 gigabytes of videos for the past 2 weeks. Woahhh! So I really need to edit them so I can archive the raw videos to my backup DVDs (for hardcopy). 

I've also started with my diet again as I noticed my face becoming 'fleshier' on photos and videos. Since I'll be infront of the camera most of the time, I need to lose a bit 'flesh'. I have also started working out again. And what's good about my body is that, it listens to me. With the combination of good diet and work out, I have already lost inches and pounds in just a few days. Weeee!

Btw, here are some of hubby's new works for his 365: A Daily Dose of Sanity album. I'm a fan of his works, not just because I'm his wife or I'm his muse in most of his photos. It's because I believe in his talent in photography and post-processing. Nobody has any bloody idea the hard work that he does in his photos. Nobody but me.

Allura billboard of Ara Mina - shot by Mar Silverio

The Goddess Ara Mina is definitely back...

IT'S FINALLY UP!

Here's the billboard of Allura Body Contour and Slimming Center where the NEW Ara Mina is the new endorser (after Cristine Reyes). And the best part (for us) was it was shot by my hubby, Mar Silverio! The billboard is in EDSA corner Annapolis St. in Greenhills.

ALLURA BILLBOARD

It ain't as giant as other billboards that you may see along EDSA every day, but this billboard is so remarkable in couple of ways. Why? It's Mar Silverio's FIRST big published project and at the same it's the much-awaited comeback of the Sex Goddess of the 90's, Ms. Ara Mina, who have amazingly lost a lot of weight through Bikram yoga and her slimming sessions with Allura.

As I might have already mentioned here in my blog before, Ara Mina & Mar Silverio used to be members of That's Entertainment. And since we've gone traveling after the TV show ended, there were only few occasions when we'd meet up with Ara. But during our last vacation in June 2011, when she saw Mar's photography portfolio, she endorsed him to be her photographer for this project (and then some). The shoot was scheduled a day before we left for Beijing, with celebrity makeup artist Krist Bansuelo and celebrity stylist Marvin. 

Mar took the photos with him to work on them while in Beijing. But there was a problem -- MMDA took down a lot of billboards of huge brands, especially those showing too much of skin. Even the billboard of famous celebrities were brought down. In this billboard, Ara is endorsing a body contour and slimming center and it would be impossible not to show a little bit of flesh. So Mar had to do a lot of revisions on different photos that were submitted. He and Ara communicated through email, Skype, and Twitter regularly to update each other regarding the project. But after almost 2 months of work and wait, MMDA  finally approved this final product. At last! The above photo was an actual photo taken by Ara Mina using her iPhone and was sent to Mar through email. :)

NOT ONLY ON ALLURA BILLBOARD

Mar's photos of Ara Mina won't only be used on Allura's billboards but will also be printed in tarpaulins for other purposes to promote Ara Mina as their new endorser. In fact, Ara Mina has also used Mar's different shots as her display picture (profile photo) on her Twitter page. And also, the photos will be used in the product labels and promotional materials of Ara's beauty product line - Ara's Secrets Pure Glow. So basically, Mar's shots of her will be all over. :-)

And now that The Goddess is back - in a healthier and svelte figure - there are lots of projects and shows lined up for her. We wish her all the luck that she needs. Anyway, she is already a household name in Philippine showbiz. Goodluck, girl, and see you here in Beijing, soon! :)

A GREAT START

It would have been a great start in Mar's serious photography career had we not left the Philippines too soon, as he was asked to do other projects with other celebrities, too. But who knows? This might be a great "sign" for us to stay back in the Philippines... soon. :)

With a creepy setting, it was an attempt to go darker - literally and figuratively - under the scorching heat of the midday sun, with a sprinkle of divinity and elegance... hence, I titled this set as such.

Rain-Or-Shine Funshoot

She was said to be powerful and she has been threatening to come and ruin everything. But glad that "Chedeng", the name of the supposedly super-typhoon, managed to maneuver and leave our beautiful, well-planned weekend behind. And even with the occasional rain showers, I was so excited to get it over with and told myself, the shoot must go on.

It was a rather gloomy morning but with the touch of the morning sun, our shoot went on as scheduled. I had prepared two concepts. The participants were our friends who we have worked with in the past funshoots and workshops and friends we have been in constant contact with on Twitter and Facebook. We also got another model named Denise who I have worked with in the past. I got my brother and his friend as our assistants or VA. During my second concept, it started to drizzle. We waited for it to stop and continued shooting under light drizzle, but eventually couldn't continue shooting. But thanks to Angelo Bautista, who provided the humor all throughout the day - even under the rain.

I have always told mini-me to eat and sleep right so that she will grow in height. But look what happened to her!!! She certainly is blaming me for making her a GIANT KID. Now that's a warning sign to those parents who have hoped for their kids to GROW. Click on the pic!

Trying to defy gravity

Teleported or resurrected?

This is the recent project of hubby Marl, who is also known as Badeedaddee. He had me levitate up in the air, trying to defy gravity in the lobby lounge of Shangri-La Hotel Beijing! :) But after editing the photo, he later realized that it looked a bit like the non-religious "resurrection" - which is just in time for the coming Easter Sunday. But mini-me thought, "looks like mommy is captured by aliens in a spaceship!". Click on the pic to see it on his Facebook album and post your comments. :)

Congratulations to hubby Badeedadee Marl for winning the 3rd place at the Manny Librodo Awards 2010! He won a post-processing session with the master Manny Librodo that is worth Php 10,000! Thanks to all who supported us, your friends and relatives, to everybody who voted for him. Maraming salamat po!

Sir Manny did a thrilling announcement by announcing the Top 20 first. He then announced the Top 10 winners the day after. And after waiting anxiously for a few days, he announced the Top 3 winners for the first-ever Manny Librodo Awards, where our friend Benedict Gacutan won the first place. Again, thank you for the support all through out the competition! :)
