Thanks for supporting, you guys! Mmmmmuah!
But even if I managed to drag my butt off the bed and even if I had to insist to have a glimpse of it, I wouldn't have succeeded. I heard that they have strict policies for this event. Only invited people for certain companies are allowed and if your house is along the street where it would pass by, you should draw back your curtains and/or close your windows.
Last night at around 7PM, when we were on the way to work, we saw that they have installed some metal bars on the sides of the road. First we wondered if they were mini ledges or raisers for people to sit on (that was Marl's idea). But I didn't quite agree with that. Later on as we drove past the empty metal bars, we then realized that they were for the red streamers or banners. On each banner, it was written, "Beijing Olympics 2008" along with the sponsors Lenova, Coca-Cola, Samsung, etc.
On the way back from work, the streets seemed very empty as they try to reinforce some police or soldiers to secure the road. We're tad lucky that we were able to go home without rerouting.
I can't wait to see some photos of it. Or maybe just see it on their local TV.
Hey it's my off today! Haha! Starbucks, here I cooooooome...
But tonight, it was kinda different. We played for only 2 sets and by
10:30PM, the event for Skyy Vodka took over not only our set, but
also DJ Jboy's. The guest DJ, VJ, and dancer were equally great
though the people might have had a culture shock since they played
mostly house and techno music. In between, they did some
intermissions by themselves, singing, rapping and dancing on top of
the speakers and bar. The bartender act was great, too.
Honestly, I wasn't able to relax as it was an instinct for me to
mingle with guests. So drinking here, dancing there. Talking here,
partying there. To sum it up, it was a great night and I guess we
should have more great nights like that.
PS: The girls DJ Mixxit and Aliya were really hot!
Time does fly so fast...
On this date in 1995, Marl took me on a date to watch "Casper: The Friendly Ghost". I remember very well that I had to slip in a 100 peso bill to my nanny to allow me to go with Marl, provided that we'd just stay inside the mall. It was our first movie date and Marl fell asleep halfway through the movie - on my shoulder! LOL. And of course, he then gave me our first kiss... awwww! We then ate at McDonald's, but I couldn't eat because I was having "butterflies in the stomach". Oh and before I met up with my nanny again, he gave me another kiss! Or maybe, I was the one who did it this time! Hahaha!
Oh well, here's a pic of us in 1995 and another taken just recently in 2008...
So anyway, expect an overhaul in the following weeks. Geezzzz, I
thought I'm already through with beating my brain out! NOT! More lack-
of-sleeps to come... *sigh*
