Dull Sunday

Woke up at 12noon, had buffet lunch at the Tides at 1PM. We were planning to drive around Cebu and go to Danao, just check out what they have there. Take note, it's DANAO, not DAVAO. It's a small town in Cebu where they have beaches as well. When we got back to the room to change, our room keys didn't work. Called the housekeeper who's cleaning the room next to us. They have the masterkey to all the rooms but still couldn't open our damn door. The battery of the door lock has run out and we had to wait for 30 minutes to get a Duty Manager to open the door and another 30 minutes to get the engineering to repair and change the battery of our door lock.

We were an hour late to our scheduled itinerary for the day. We passed by a gasoline station to fill up our tank and Marlou realized something, he forgot his wallet and his driver's license in the hotel! Too much stuff controlling us to take the planned trip to Danao, a simple way of telling us to postpone the plan, so we did. We just took the small roads of Mactan Island, drove through the famouse beach resorts here. I, on the front passsenger seat, enjoyed taking candid shots of the people on the street as they go though their daily lives. I'm proud to say that eventhough I'm using my Canon Ixus750 camera, it has strikingly expressive and impressive photos.

When we got back to the hotel, we had a chat with Marlou's cousin, Judy, at the Bacchus, the wine store of the Shangri-La Hotel. We had a good coffee before going to the beach to relax. It wasn't a good day for sun-lovers, the weather's been gloomy the whole day. In fact, at 5PM, it drizzled a bit as I was talking to Selena on the phone. We went back to the room because Marlou wanted to watch his favorite races, MotoGP and F1. I really couldn't relax in the room on a Sunday! So I grabbed my laptop and here I am blogging at the lobby of Shangri-La Hotel (I also have posted the drafted blog entries during the past days - better late than never!).

I just realized it's not as dull as I thought it was. I'm just beginning to enjoy and relax...
