Mars & Venus

"The most happy marriage I can imagine to myself
would be the union of a deaf man to a blind woman"

Samuel Taylor Coleridge (1772-1834)

I got this quote from my Quotation of the Day on the front page. It's kinda strange that some people have different perception of other people. Funny that I have been reading the book Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus for 2 months now but I still couldn't understand it. The description of the characteristics of the Venusians doesn't fit my characteristic. I even find it funny to think that I might be the only woman from Mars and Marl might be from Venus. And I do agree with that. My attitude is more masculine and his attitude is more feminine.

No, don't get me wrong, there's no gender-confusion going on here. I'm talking about the characteristics. You see, in the said book, Martians tend to isolate themselves when they are upset or they have a problem. And that's really me. I don't like talking about my problems unless I really need to. Whereas, Venusians tend to talk about their problems because they needed to be heard and understood. And that's Marl.

I think I should change the title of the book to Sarita Is From Mars, Marl Is From Venus. LOL. And the quote above doesn't really apply to me and Marl. It should be rephrased to: "The most happy marriage I can imagine to myself would be the union of a mute man to a deaf & blind woman". LOL.
