Thank God it's over

I was fetched with a stretcher at 6AM. On the way to the operating room, everyone was asking me if I'm nervous. As a matter of fact, I wasn't. My anaesthesiologist and surgeons are the best in the hospital. They're very approachable and nice. A lady doctor commented that I was the first patient she saw with a smiling face. She said I looked confident and different from the other patients they had. Of course, I prayed to God to give me the strength and confidence to face this. I guess His presence clearly radiated on me.

An anaesthesia was administered to paralyzed me from the waist down. I was shot on my spine.

My operation went well. The surgery lasted for almost 2 hours. During the surgery, I was asleep most of the time, was only awaken during the last 30 minutes due to chilling temperature in the operating room. Even the doctors alternately rubbed their palms to warm my cheeks.

I was then directed to the recovery room. They had to wait until the numbness on my lower half body's lost. It took me 3 hours to wiggle my toe. They also put a catheter in me so I won't have to get up to pee.

I got back to the room at 1PM. I still can't move much. I even have to let out a soundless laughter everytime I laugh!

Thanks for all your prayers. Please continue to pray for my speedy recovery. God bless!
