Qingdao Bathing Beach #1

I'm basking under the not-so-scorchingly hot sun at Beach No.1. Funny how they name their beaches, schools, hospitals or department stores. In fact, they don't name them, they rank them. By what I don't know.

Hope the sun will still be up until 8PM! I need to get my tan back!

Friends in touch... are treasured so much

Some of you might have been to my new website because of the update mails I sent last weekend. Few maybe because of the new picture card that I have given you LOL. Thank you so much for the visit! Don't forget to support my site by clicking on some of the ADS!

Black Eyed... Peace!

On Wednesday night, I was very much in my element that I was hyper up onstage (like I was never?!? LOL). We were asked to play an extra set by a group of our regulars and so we did. During the end of the night, we played some rock songs as requested, so we started banging our heads. As I said, I was in my element... and banged my head too much... too much that while my right leg was bended forward (imagine I was in a lunge position)... I banged my eye against my right knee!!! OUCH!!! F**K!!! I really saw some stars and at one point, I thought I was already bleeding from my cheekbones. Luckily, it was during the last minute of the show so after the show, I hurriedly asked Jacky, our gay staff, to get me some ice cubes. I was applying cold pressure on it as I was drinking with some guests. Classy! Hahaha!

When I woke up the next day, as I was going to the toilet to pee, I chanced upon myself in a mirror. I told you, I freaked out! Woke Marl up, who was having high fever, and showed him my black eye!!!

FYI, this is the 5th time that I got a black eye. First time was when I was around 9 years old and got hit by a tennis ball thrown to me by a playmate (who got a big-time scolding from my mom).

Second, was in highschool when I was hit by a softball while trying to catch it. Which got the attention of our male P.E. teacher! Hahaha! Yeah and he took care of my eye. Tsk tsk! Hahaha!

Third, fourth and fifth were caused by my damn knee. I'M TOO FLEXIBLE, haven't you thought about it

Lesson learned: Don't get too carried away! Kids, don't try to be too flexible at home! LOL

New tenants

Everything's new nowadays! Aside from my domain, my email add, and my website, our properties in the Philippines have new tenants.

The orange house at BF Homes Talisay in Cebu will be repainted as requested by our new foreign tenant from the States.

Our condo unit at the California Garden Square in Mandaluyong will be rented out to a family whose father/husband works in overseas as well.

Both contracts are a year long. So I guess we can sit down and relax about passive income til then...

Where the **** is my old blogger?

I switched my blog server from Blogger to Blogspot. My old site used the Blogger feeds for my blog posts. And when I tried to switch to Blogspot, I realized I lost some posts prior to this. Anyway, if you want to view my old blogger, click HERE. Yes, it's still around, won't overwrite it on my server, just in case.

There must be something wrong with my coding?!? Damn!
*still working on the codes... sorry*

Princessette updates

As some of you might already know, my daughter Selena - The Princessette - is on her second grade in primary school. She's doing well in her class. Having both singing parents can have a big influence in their child's life. Selena has been chosen to sing for a school program this month. I think they're having the "Month of Vegetables" program. And she's been practising couple of songs for the said affair. The other night, she took the center stage and performed for my Aunt Susan's birthday party. Her first ever performance. And she was well-applauded I must say. Sad that I missed it...

Are we having another musician in the family???... sigh...

Hope she finishes her studies first... (heard this line from my mom years ago! LOL)

Cough*cough*cough*

Been coughing like hell for a couple of days now. It started out with a very bad sore throat on Wednesday. I bought some medicines today, hopefully we'll recover soon. It's Saturday, gonna be very busy tonight...

A dozen years of love

Today is our 12th year anniversary... 12 years?!? Beat that!
Happy anniversary, Beb!

Memories...

I've been editing some pictures for my new website. Some of them are really old, like when I was still 4 months old. Most of them bring good memories to me especially pictures on my birthday parties when I was in teens. Hmmm... memories... light the corners of my mind....

Oops!

Yesterday I was uploading some new files to my new website which is still on testing phase on the freewebs server. Then I accidentally overwrote some files which caused SARITAONLINE.COM turned upside down. My friends thought it's the new design and they already loved it! But actually, it was the messed up part that they saw. LOL. But glad they liked the new design & layout.

Still working on the videos, audios, and photos. I'm freakin' excited about it! Yeyyyy!

Jboy's day

It was a great Saturday nite at the QBar last nite. One reason it was great because there were lots of Filipinos in the crowd. It wass our DJ Jboy's birthday when it hit midnight and it was definitely fun.

On one incident, I tripped over a small cushion chair & knocked my front leg on it. Now I have a big bruise on my left leg near my ankle. Tsk tsk...

Happy Birthday JBoy!!!

Watta 4th of July!

When you're in China, you are kinda excluded from the events going around the world. It seems like China has its own world or something. And I never realized that yesterday was the 4th of July! Really. Not that it's important for me, I ain't American anyway. It's just that, it used to be a big event for me, too.

This year, somehow, I only knew about it when a cake was brought out to our American friends last night. I even stupidly read out loud "Happy Birthday, America"... then asked... "America?". Stupid! Hahaha!

But I don't think that accounted for a great party last night. In fact, there's a real American bar in Qingdao which might have had its own party, too. But judging by the number of regular faces and new faces, Q Bar was definitely having a blast last night. Yes, there were lots of foreigners from all over the world. It was one of the great parties we've had. URB certainly proved that we can handle a big party crowd!

Reason why we moved around

Qingdao China Guide left a comment on my previous post. Flattered that they, like you, are actually updated with my daily nonsense. LOL. Thanks Qingdao China Guide.

Okay, the reason we moved quite a few times - 3 times to be exact - was because of the ongoing renovation with some of the units that Shangri-La owns at Eldo Gardens.

Our first unit in Building 5 was already okay for us. Until the renovation started on the floor above us. We couldn't sleep at all since we all sleep at daytime. They transferred us to

Our second unit in Building 3 was the semi-luxurious living that we pretty much prefer. Squeaky clean, new furnitures, shiny flooring, and an outstanding view of the shoreline. But we were told we wouldn't be staying there for long since it was meant for a higher ranking employee or manager of the hotel. Our former Resident Manager used to live there a day before we moved in. So I can't say "not bad", because the unit is really nice.

But since they need the 1st unit to be occupied by someone who might be working at daytime, they needed the unit to be vacated. And since we won't be staying in the 2nd unit for long, they managed to find us the 3rd semi-permanent unit. Semi-permanent because we only got 3 more months to go in Qingdao. LOL.

3rd unit in Building 4 is quite congested because of the big furnitures we actually don't need. Also, a 4th person was asked to join us - the new Filipina singer at the lobby who sings with Nick, the Chinese pianist.

We're not really happy about it since the rooms are quite small, ie. just enough for a bed, a side table and half-a-meter width of space around the bed. The toilet & bath in the master's bedroom is even spacious than the room itself! Usually, Marl uses the 3rd room for a home/office/sound room, where we also put the big luggages that we have. Now that the 3rd room is occupied by Lisa, the lobby singer, we are left with no choice but cram them all up in the master's bedroom, using all the floor space around the bed.

I heard that Lisa will be moved to another apartment soon. She's a nice girl and if the flat was just bigger, we wouln't really mind her joining us. But... you know...

I just hope this move will be the last one. Hope no problem will arise. We don't want to try and live in all the buildings of Silver Garden!!!

Bon voyage, GAP Girls!

The Aussies. The party girls. The posse. The GAP girls. Whatever you call them, they certainly have been the life of any party, gathering, gig or event they have attended while they were here in Qingdao.

Victoria, Hannah, Jida and Louise are just normal 18 year old girls who likes to have fun and be fun. They came to Qingdao to teach English classes, along with other kids their age.

I remember when I first approached them, I felt like Lindsay Lohan in Mean Girls. Aside from being 10 years their senior, I do admit I got intimidated at first because they are strictly R&B hiphop lovers. But that was 3 months ago. URB scoured and studied songs most to the Qbar patrons' liking - R&B hiphop!

But it was only during their last month that the band finally got close to them. They are really sweethearts once you get to know them.

You're gonna be missed, ladies. Goodluck and hope to see you soon!
